As a longtime Whiskey Sour fan, I am always looking for ways to elevate the classic without losing what makes it great. I love how jasmine tea has a natural sweetness and a soft, lingering aroma and it feels like the perfect complement to the slightly smoky notes of Japanese whisky.

This floral infused cocktail is perfect for spring gatherings, intimate nights in, or when you just want to elevate your whiskey game!

Featured sip:Hana” (Japanese word for “flower”) Whiskey Sour

Recipe:

2 oz Whiskey (Japanese whisky optional for added depth)

.75 oz Lemon juice

.75 oz Jasmine tea syrup

Egg whites (optional for frothy texture)

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine whiskey, lemon juice, jasmine tea syrup, and egg whites

  2. Dry shake: shake ingredients for 15-30 seconds without ice

  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake for an additional 15 seconds or until chilled

  4. Strain and pour cocktail in glass of choice

  5. Garnish with mini jasmine bouquet (optional)
