Golden delight

Recipe:

2 oz Whiskey or Bourbon rye

3/4 oz Lemon juice

3/4 oz Saffron Honey syrup

2 oz Sparkling water for a spritz/ Ice water for a lemonade

Ice

Saffron rock candy and lemon garnish

Directions:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and saffron honey syrup to shaker.

Shake for about 15 seconds until chilled

Strain into cocktail glass filled with ice.

Optional: Top off cocktail with water or sparkling water.

Optional: Garnish with lemon or rock candy.

*Infused Syrup

Recipe

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup honey

1/2 tsp saffron

Instructions:

In a small saucepan, combine water and honey and stir over low heat until honey is dissolved, do not boil.

Add saffron strands and stir. Continue to let the mixture heat for an additional few minutes.

Remove mixture from heat and allow the saffron to steep for an additional 10-15 minutes and cool down.

Strain the syrup into an airtight container and use once chilled.
